I’m pretty sure you guys have heard of Uniqlo (If not click the brand or click here for the wiki). Basically Japan’s Gap Clothing store that has alot of japanese/anime themed t-shirts. I got some at their store in SoHo, NY. If you like your j-culture, pass by their shop and pickup some duds.
A while back they released their UNIQLOCK screensaver with the dancing/prancing, hand gesturing japanese girls that got ppl looking at my screensaver and saying WTF… cool! Now they have included some timelapsed tilt-shift minature photography that is insane. Making huge landscapes look like somebody’s elaborate dioramas. Download the screensaver here, install and watch ppl flock to your compie and say “WTF… cool!”
Tilt-shift miniature faking
process in which a photograph of a life-size location or object is manipulated so that it looks like a photograph of a miniature scale model. By distorting the focus of the photo, the artist simulates the shallow depth of field normally encountered with macro lenses making the scene seem much smaller than it actually is.
